What is a game jam?
A game jam is an event where participants try to make a video game from scratch. Participants can work either independently, or in teams. The event duration usually ranges from 24 to 72 hours. Participants can be anyone; programmers, game designers, artists, writers, and others in game development-related fields.
What do I get out of it?
Whatever you want! Game jams are a great opportunity to create and complete short-term goals. This could be as simple as making a game, learning a new tool, or even just meeting people! You'd be surprised what you can get done in a weekend!
I don't have a team, can I still join?
Definitely! You can form your own team, join an existing team, or even jam solo!
